Marilyn Kasmiersky

Executive Director
Marilyn attended Oklahoma State University for her undergraduate degree, and additional certifications were obtained from Loyola University in Stephen’s Ministry, Business Etiquette from the Protocol School of Washington, John Maxwell Training, and a Public Relations certification in New York.
Whitney Vasquez

Community Engagement Coordinator
Whitney Vasquez serves as the Community Engagement Coordinator at Family Promise of Montgomery County, where she leads donor relations, event planning, volunteer engagement, and community partnerships to support families experiencing homelessness.
Whitney brings over a decade of leadership experience in nonprofit and community programming, including previous roles at the YMCA of Greater Houston. She holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and is passionate about building systems, relationships, and strategic partnerships that strengthen families and the broader community.
With a background in outreach, program management, and volunteer coordination, Whitney thrives at connecting people to purpose — whether through fundraising events, collaborative partnerships, or community education initiatives.
As a working mom, Whitney deeply understands the challenges families face and is committed to ensuring that every parent and child who walks through Family Promise’s doors is met with dignity, structure, and opportunity.
Tiffany Hankerson

Case Manager
Tiffany brings a lot of experience in her role as case manager. She is highly motivated with a strong work ethic and interpersonal communication that leads to our family’s success in meeting their goals. She has experience working within Montgomery County developing relationships and resources.
Her organization, time management and problem assessment/conflict- resolution skills are an asset.
Catherine Scheffler

Volunteer Coordinator
Catherine is a proud Longhorn from The University of Texas at Austin and is a recent retiree of 27 years with Conroe ISD, where she served as an Elementary Math Interventionist and RtI Coordinator. A long-time volunteer with Family Promise, she is excited to be joining the team in her role as the Community Engagement Coordinator. Her excellent communication, planning and organizational skills will help her better serve the needs of the families in our program.
